It has an opening in which the cigar is inserted and the guillotine mechanism cuts the cigar. It is not an option if you want to carry your cigar cutter around with you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guillotine cutters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is the most common model. The mechanism is like the desktop cutters, but it\u2019s modified to carry around with you. It has a fixed part to put the cigar in and a mobile part with a blade, when pressed together it cuts the cigar. The blade may be straight (in diagonal to the cigar) or circular.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Double guillotine cutters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This model is based on the previous one but has two blades instead of one. It still has the same fixed part where the cigar is introduced but the mobile part has two opposing blades. When pressed, the blades cut the cigar one on each side.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pliers Cutters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This model maintains the guillotine mechanism, but incorporates a pliers-shaped handle for easy use. Nor is it the best option to carry around with you. Both desktop cutters, the guillotine (single and double) and pliers, having a set hole which the cigar is introduced, may not serve for all stocks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Scissor cutters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The mechanism is that of a normal scissors except that the baldes are a half-moon shaped to fit the circular shape of the cigar. In this case the ring gauge of the cigar doesn\u2019t matter as it adapts to different thicknesses.
